Also commonly referred to as the French 75, this cocktail combines a generous shot of strong gin with the bubbly delight of champagne. The drink owes its name to a French 75 mm field gun, as both have a tendency to mow you down.

Fine strainer
30ml Jessy’s Gin
15ml lemon juice
15ml sugar syrup
Top off with Champagne
1 spiral lemon zest
Cubes
Champagne flute
Shake
Instructions
Pour the gin, lemon juice and syrup in a shaker filled with ice cubes. Give it a good shake and fine strain into a champagne glass. Top off with champagne and garnish with the lemon zest.
